As the principal of Stewart Communications, and a strategic partner for several advertising, public relations, media buying and social media firms, Morgan offers more than 25 years of corporate communications, crisis management and media relations experience. In his communications management roles with two Fortune 200 companies and the Virginia governor’s office, he was a thought leader whose initiatives focused on driving sales and reputation management.
With Entergy Corp., he managed national media relations for all strategic and investor initiatives. He served as the lead communicator for Entergy’s $30 million Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative. He later managed all of the communications functions for Entergy New Orleans during the rebuild of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. He left Entergy in 2013 after serving three years as the program manager for Entergy Louisiana’s civic responsibility initiatives.
Prior to Entergy, Morgan was communications and media relations manager for the nation’s largest consumer electronics retailer - Circuit City Stores, Inc. In that role, Morgan managed national and local media relations in more than 160 media markets, and was credited with increasing big screen TV sales by 50 percent in targeted markets.
Early in his career, he served in the office of Virginia’s former governor, George Allen, as the Commerce and Trade communications director. In that role, he managed all of the public relations surrounding the governor’s successful business and economic development initiatives, while managing the communications offices of 12 business-oriented government agencies such as the ports, tourism, mining, economic development, and the employment commission.
Morgan is recognized as an expert covering areas such as energy, utilities, consumer electronics, retail, manufacturing, ports, mining, and tourism. He’s worked with virtually every media outlet in America, most notably CNN, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, New York Times, Good Morning America and the Today Show. He’s partnered with NASCAR, Major League Baseball, Sony, and Philips among others.
Morgan got his professional start in political communications and journalism while living in Washington, D.C.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Journalism at Louisiana State University in 1990 with a minor in history.
